Knit Knack's teaching staff is dedicated to your success: We strive to move your skills to a new level with every class on our schedule. As a student in any of our classes, we offer a 10 percent discount on all knitting and crochet materials and a free bottle of water or a cup of regular or decaf Daz Bog coffee while your class is in session. Private lessons are available starting at $25 per hour for one or $20 per hour for two or more (maximum of 4).
Knitting Skills
Beginning Knitting Skills -- In this four-week class, students will learn to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind off. These most basic skills, along with our "fix-it" intensive, where students learn to recognize and repair common errors, will move our graduates toward hats, sweaters and other higher level projects.
Titicaca - Okay, it's a dreadful name but a darling sweater! This is a great first sweater for any new knitter who wants to grow her skills. The hardest part of this class is deciding which of the Mirasol Project's "Hacho" yarns to choose!
Thunderbird Beaded Socks- Combine beading, knitting and Sivia Harding's beautiful pattern; throw in a good dose of guidance, and you'll creates these little sock jewels in no time.

Mukluks -These fun and funky Inuit-style felted mukluks incorporate beautiful Norwegian embellishments such as embroidery and fringed, multi-colored tassels, reminiscent of the folk styles of the past. The pattern knits up as huge ‘socks’ and then are felted to size (children’s sizes 11, 12, 12½, 13, and 1; women’s sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10). The fringed tassels are part of the class instruction; however other embellishments are left to the individual style of each participant.

Crochet Skills
Beginning Crochet - Crochet is the new "it" craft. Knitters and needle arts beginners alike are venturing into this craft and loving it. Come and get hooked. In this beginning level crochet class, you will learn basic chaining techniques, the single, double, and triple crochet stitches, crocheting in the round, changing colors and simple edgings. In addition, each student will learn how to read basic pattern abbreviation. The pattern for the final project, determined by individuals in the class, will come from the required text:
